Goals. I have been thinking a lot about how I want to approach 2018. As I thought over the past few years, how much I've grown and what has attributed to that, I came up with 3 ways to think of goal setting that have worked for me in the past and have been the most effective! Listen here, I'm gonna own it and say that I work in an industry with a stigma. Some people RUN from direct sales as quickly as possible. I know why... here are just a few reasons.
  • Some companies are NOT consultant friendly, insisting on auto-ships, high minimums or HUGE investments to get going. They require on-hand inventory that feels the garage and gets overwhelming rather than getting sold!
  • Since we depend on our friends and families to help get us started (listen here... nearly ALL small business do) people feel pressured to buy. I will way though it is QUITE the double standard when friends bend over backwards to help a friend's brick and mortar starter store, but are unwilling to even look at a product you have.
  • I'm going to be honest here... a LOT of times, it's us. The consultant. WE are responsible for people's' experiences with business' like ours.
  • I also believe that scarcity mindset has a LOT to do with it. We become desperate to make the sale. Desperate to get someone on our team and we REALLY need to shift that mindset to ABUNDANCE. 
  • People DON'T work their business' like a REAL business! Everybody starts one and nobody finishes! Of course, there are always reasons to quit a job and move on, but, be sure you're thinking about how inconsistency affects the way people view you as a business owner!
I chat about a few specifics here and a bit about what has me thinking about all this jazz in the following video. Let's ALL do it right ladies. For each other, For our families. For ourselves. AND, for our industry!

Oldie but Goodie~ Do You Know a Gatekeeper?

Those people are the gatekeepers!

     When you are looking for influencers for your product/brand, you need to look for high"I" people. I call them Queen Bees. The person you are looking for (you know who I'm talking about) she is the leader, the one who is connected, when she buys something, everyone looks and starts to buy as well. Here is a training on looking for some of the people who can help you in your business.
