Right now it looks a little like this - but we are moving forward on our plan to travel the United States for 8 months starting this year. This is the spot that we’re going to be recording the whole adventure.

This is some basic info on what we’re planning and preparing for:  

• We’ve put our house up for sale and pretty much everything in it. We’re trying to basically get rid of almost everything we have as we travel. We’re in the early stages of going through everything and deciding what to keep, sale and donate - hence the flustered picture of Shanae, and we’re just getting started.
• No plans to travel by RV or travel trailer. We are using Airbnb and Homeaway to rent houses and condos in different areas for month long stays rather than lots of super short term stuff. It’s cheaper this way.
• We’ll leave in late Oct. or early Nov. after Chase finishes football and travel through the summer of 2018.
• We will be homeschooling our kids. This may be the scariest part of this.
• We only have a very general idea of where we are planning to go. We’ll be headed toward New Mexico and Texas then onto Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas before starting to make our way back across the country. We are trying to avoid the cold at all cost.  
• What are we going to do when we come back? Not sure yet. We may just find the place we’ve always wanted to live and stay right there.
